Solution from Verian Technologies ideal fit for heavy equipment dealerships

Charlotte, NC - December 9, 2005 - Caterpillar dealerships continue to invest in new technology to streamline Purchasing practices and reduce the paper shuffle in Accounts Payable. 

Since July, Cat dealers Wagner Equipment and Holt of Texas have acquired Verian Technologies’ ProcureIT software.  Six dealers now use ProcureIT.

ProcureIT is web-based software that automates purchase requisitions, internal approval workflow, purchase order delivery, receiving and invoice reconciliation.  Modules are also available for managing expense reports, non-PO invoices and small tool tracking.  The system captures data on spending and provides controls to enforce compliance with internal spending policies.  Analytical tools are also available to help dealers find opportunities to consolidate their supplier base and negotiate better contracts.

To promote “closed-loop” transaction management and prevent double entry of data, Verian has worked with the dealer community to build deep integrations with software most dealers already use such as DBS Service Work Orders, DBS Allied Stock, IAS/Coda.

Several dealers acquired Verian software following internal Six Sigma initiatives that arrived at the same conclusion: a software system was required immediately to effectively provide better internal controls and capture spending data.
