NC — February 22, 2006 — Walker
Machinery, an independently owned Caterpillar
equipment dealership based in Belle, West
Virginia, recently acquired Verian Technologies' ProcureIT
software. Seven Caterpillar dealers in the US and Canada
now own ProcureIT.
ProcureIT is a web-based software solution that automates purchase requisitions, internal approval workflow, purchase order delivery, receiving and invoice reconciliation. The system also helps manage expense reports, non-purchase order invoices and small tool tracking. The system captures data on spending and provides controls to enforce compliance with internal spending policies. Analytical tools are also available to help dealers find opportunities to consolidate their supplier base and negotiate better contracts.
