Charlotte, NC — November 29, 2005 — Taking reporting to the next level, ProcureIT 7.0 — the latest version of Verian Technologies’ flagship purchase-to-pay product — provides organizations with a robust reporting engine for self-service spend analysis. ProcureIT is a web-based spend management solution that provides organizations the ability to capture and manage spending associated with purchase orders, non-PO invoices, expense reimbursements and fixed assets in a single database.
“When we set out to enhance our reporting capabilities, our first goal was to provide organizations with the best analytical capabilities available in a mid-market purchasing and payables solution,” said Tehseen Ali, CEO and President of Verian Technologies. “According to our pilot test group from our customer base, we’ve accomplished that and more. With the new version of ProcureIT we stayed true to our goal of providing a robust application that is easy for even the most casual user to understand and use with minimal training.”
The new version of ProcureIT builds on previous versions and includes the latest technology as well as new features based on industry research. Some of the new functionality in ProcureIT 7.0 includes:
- Self-service reporting — Users can create reports quickly and easily using the new Report Wizard. The new wizard provides a step-by-step visual process that doesn’t require database or programming knowledge.
- Advanced report security settings — Security for reports can be set so any piece of data can be restricted from any user. This ensures that confidential information stays confidential. For example, a buyer would be unable to run reports displaying an executive’s travel expenses.
“The new report features will give us similar reports to the ones that, in the past, we had to use Crystal or Sequel report writers to get, and it will allow us to move these existing reports over to the ProcureIT system,” said Les Long, Purchasing Director for Whayne Supply and a member of the pilot test group for ProcureIT 7.0. “We have found the data from ProcureIT to be of great value in leveraging spend with vendors and in controlling maverick buying by setting up preferred supply items in catalogs and user pick lists. The enhanced reporting features will make it much easier for us to monitor compliance and lower our cost on expense items. We have found these savings cover the cost of ProcureIT many times over.”
“Part of our commitment to our customers is to continually listen to them to find ways to help them do their jobs better while saving their organizations money,” said Tehseen Ali, President & CEO of Verian Technologies. “This latest version of ProcureIT is a culmination of industry research, field research, and customer product advisory groups. We know these new analysis tools will give them insight to better manage spending.”
