Charlotte, NC – Verian, provider of the broadest purchasing and invoice processing suite on the market, has signed the leading provider of longer stay hotel properties in the United States.

The client organization is a category leader in the hospitality industry, operating nearly 700 hotels in North America, and offering more than 76,000 rooms nationwide.

The client signed contracts for Verian’s Purchase Manager, Invoice Manager, Expense Manager, Asset Manager, Advanced Budgeting, Vendor Connectivity (Supplier Portal), and Spend Intelligence software solutions.

The company serves many different types of guests, such as families looking for affordable getaways, government or military personnel on relocation, business travelers who require temporary housing, and travel coordinators who need multi-location extended stay accommodations with direct billing capabilities.

The client organization specializes in providing business and leisure travelers with functional hotel suites at exceptional values. Their guests enjoy fully-equipped kitchens, in-room Wi-Fi Internet access, unlimited local phone use and personalized voicemail, pet friendly accommodations, and pools and fitness centers at select locations.

Additionally, because every hotel is company-owned, each is inspected and reviewed throughout the year to ensure that corporate specifications are consistently achieved. The company believes that maintaining such high standards means their guests will have a stay that is worth repeating.

The client’s initial objective is to gain more control over their purchasing and invoice approval processes to better comply with stricter auditing standards. The company retained a consulting group to help them drive better definition of their internal processes, and to help them select a purchase-to-pay vendor.

Tool to Migrate Data to the Cloud

Verian’s Data Migration Tool to migrate data to the cloud provides seamless transition to customers moving from traditional on premises versions of Verian’s software to cloud-based (SaaS) instances.

Many companies require on premises customers to start a brand new implementation when they move to the cloud, often on a completely different release and code base than their existing on premises system.

Verian’s Data Migration Tool removes these barriers by making it possible for customers to smoothly and expediently migrate to the cloud without losing any of their transaction data, providing them with all the benefits of the cloud platform without losing business continuity.

Growing E&P Company Taps Verian for Purchase to Pay Solutions

The client company’s operations represent a mix of development and exploration opportunities with oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids reserves.

The E&P company operates by acquiring assets that will increase in value through development drilling and lease consolidation. The company’s long term approach allows it to acquire and develop assets throughout market cycles.

The leading E&P company is planning a multi-stage project with Verian. Phase one includes rolling out Verian’s Purchase Manager to streamline procurement and solve purchase order (PO) issues, then deploying Verian’s Materials Transfer Manager to advance inventory management capabilities.

By automating these processes, Verian will help the customer improve visibility regarding where their inventory is located, and when that inventory moves. This enhanced visibility will enable more accurate cost accounting and planning and accurately identifying materials at the well and available in the yard. The system will also create proper accounting entries when materials are transferred between locations.

Phase two of the project will include integration to the customer’s ADP system for PO related invoicing, as well as PO delivery to network vendors.

Record Number of New Clients: Verian’s portfolio of new clients has grown at an ever-increasing rate since 2009, and 2012 was no exception.

Verian Introduces Major Enhancements in Latest Software Release

Charlotte, NC – Verian, the leader in universal purchasing and invoice processing systems, has released Version 11.2 of its purchase-to-pay (P2P) software suite, featuring enhanced e-invoicing, invoice reporting and mobile approval of requisitions capabilities.

Comprehensive Validations for E-Invoices

Many electronic invoices (e-invoices) still require some manual handling to push them through the approval process. This often requires AP professionals to become proficient at manipulating cXML and EDI files or depend on IT for assistance.

Verian Version 11.2 provides advanced validations for e-invoices as well as online editable rendering of the failed invoices, making for faster processing and in most cases straight-through, or touchless processing of e-invoices.

Advanced Exception Handling and Notifications for E-Invoices

Exceptions can complicate e-invoice processing due to challenges with e-invoicing formats, discrepancy workflows, and vendor communication. E-invoices with exceptions can sometimes lie in limbo for days waiting for modifications.

Verian Version 11.2 improves tracking of disputed e-invoices, reducing the need for time-consuming back and forth communication with vendors, and the risk of processing errors.

In Version 11.2, Verian provides a user-friendly display for e-invoices styled much like the user interface for standard invoice documents, with exceptions highlighted for easy correction and re-processing. Corrections can now be made inline prior to re-processing the e-invoice document.

Version 11.2 also includes automatic notifications capabilities to inform the right people about e-invoice exceptions that need to be addressed.

These improvements deliver a similar end user experience for both electronic and non-electronic invoices and reduce the lead time and support required for processing e-invoices with exceptions.

Invoicing Standard Reports

Verian Version 11.2 also expands standard invoicing reports that provide visibility into selected invoicing metrics and the status of invoices and accruals.

Standard, out-of-the-box invoicing reports track metrics like invoice aging, end-to-end processing time, and on-demand status of invoices and accruals.

Mobile App for Approving Requisitions

Another enhancement in the 11.2 release is the availability of a more robust mobile app enabling faster and more accurate approval of requisitions on the go.

The Verian mobile app puts all the information approvers need to approve requisitions at their fingertips on their iPhones or Android smart phones.

This includes functionality for line item approvals, and the ability to add attachments with more detailed information or supporting research to help accelerate decision-making.

Private Mortgage Insurer Chooses Verian to Replace Ketera System

Charlotte, NC – Verian, the leader in purchasing and invoice processing systems, has signed one of the nation’s largest private mortgage insurers.

The client company provides mortgage insurance (MI) for over one million mortgages and serves lenders throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and other locations. Their MI solutions help lenders serve borrowers by making homeownership even more affordable for them.

Verian is replacing the client’s current Ketera purchasing system with cloud-based (SaaS) Purchase Manager and Inventory Manager software modules, which are both anticipated to have several hundred users. As part of the agreement, Verian is also producing several specially-configured interfaces for the leading residential mortgage provider.

For the purposes of faxing purchase orders to suppliers, Verian will use their standard connectors to leading fax server software providers to integrate with the client’s cloud-based faxing solution. Additionally, Verian will create an interface that will display inventory information within the client’s instance of Salesforce.com.

Based on identifiers in the inventory master data file, an interface will refresh in the client’s Salesforce application with information about individual items, groups or categories of the inventory based upon identifiers in Verian’s Inventory Manager’s master data file. Corresponding fulfillment requisitions will be received from the client’s application and uploaded to Verian’s Purchase Manager for processing. The requested items may be fulfilled from either inventory or a supplier purchase.
